How It Works

I am so excited that you are considering booking your senior portraits with me. I know that finding the right photographer for your senior pictures that fits your style and what you’re looking for is hard work! If you’ve landed here, you’ve already decided you like my work, but now you want to see how everything works if we’re a good fit, and [of course] how much it will cost. Let’s walk through the senior portraits timeline from start to finish.

Planning The Details

Once your session is booked, we’ll find a time to plan out all of the details. We’ll start with your interests and style. Knowing the things that you are most drawn to will help us choose things like locations, outfits, and maybe even props. You’ll also have access to my Senior Lounge page that’s full of details about how to prepare for your photo shoot with tips & tricks to help you look your best.

Your Portrait Session

This is it! The day we’ve been planning for. We are gonna have a blast! I want you to feel confident and have fun, so if you’re a little nervous, don’t worry — I’ll make the experience a breeze!

Pick Your Favs

A couple of weeks after your portrait session, you’ll get to view your gorgeous senior photos and choose your favs. I have so many fun ways to show off your images. Whether you’re hoping for wall art, an album, or digital files to share – I have something for everyone!

When should senior portraits be taken?

Such a great question! Once you have finished your Junior year, you can start thinking about your senior pictures. As far as the time of year, it really depends on your style and personality. Decide which season suits you best. Are you hoping to wear skirts, shorts, or sundresses? Then a summer or spring session may be perfect for you. Do you like to wear jeans and sweaters, scarves and hats? You may enjoy a fall session best.

What should I wear for my senior pictures?

I recommend having at least 2 outfits: something dressy and something casual. As we plan your session, I will help you with suggestions for how to complete your outfits. You get receive a guide assisting you in what types of styles and colors complement your individual body type and skin tone.

If you want to include a 3rd outfit, it’s fun to include things like a shirt from the college you’ll be attending or your sports jersey…whatever makes you, YOU!

How long will it take to see my finished senior portraits?

Once we’ve wrapped up your session we'll take about 20 minutes to pick your favorites. It will then take about 10-14 days for me to hand edit your images. Each image is retouched to remove blemishes and flyaway hairs. I will include both color and a few black & white images as well.

Travel & Gallery

1. Travel will be charged at $1 per mile one way outside of the Lovington city limits.

2. I will email you access to your own password protected gallery to download your digital files and purchase prints or more digital files.
